We collaborated with the landscape architecture firm, GroundView, on the design of the Third Floor Terrarium at the new Phyllis Litoff Jazz Center at Oberlin College due to open this Fall.
As our first landscape project, this was a particularly interesting creative challenge and required a great deal of research. The terrarium in the building's top floor captures the changing seasons and opens to the sky above. When developing the design, we took various factors into consideration including dimensions of plants and their growth patterns, vantage points and the most dramatic perspectives as well as flowering months to correspond with school sessions.
