Lydia Burkhalter is a photographer based in Los Angeles, who works primarily with a classic, cumbersome 4x5 wooden field camera. Her unwavering commitment to her camera is a distinct quality emblematic of her moral and artistic identity, which I felt was important to convey when presenting her work. I wanted to create a web experience that felt different than a website but familiar in form. The site is not meant to be instantly intuitive, but rather a slow discovery, much like her photos.
